Charles is thirty-two and fast becoming a serial monogamist. As he attends the weddings of his friends, he becomes less and less likely to take the plunge himself until he sees Carrie, the most beautiful, intelligent and definitely wittiest girl he has ever met. Unfortunately she marries someone else.
After three weddings and one funeral he finally finds himself at the altar for his own wedding, but the girl beside him is not the girl he wants to marry.
