Hagar is an innovative and expanding Swiss-based Christian development agency with over a decade of experience working with vulnerable women and children in Cambodia.
Hagar is now seeking a candidate, Cambodian national, for the position of Protection Officer, based in Phnom Penh.

Personal Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years experience of Child Rights or Child Protection Advocacy
• Supervisory experience and evidence of leadership skills
• Experience in working with vulnerable children and women
• Knowledge of protection issues in Cambodia including court cases
• Good spoken and written both Khmer and English
• Computer literate in MS. Word, Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication Skills
• Flexibility, adaptability, transparency and enthusiasm.
• Commitment to Hagar’s mission and values
Main Scope of Work
• Facilitate training to all staff on Hagar’s Child Protection Policy and recognition of child abuse
• Investigate and follow through on all Incident Reports and violation of the Child Protection Policy in consultation with management
• Ensure any contact with the Media is in line with Hagar Protection Policies
• Network with lawyers, local authorities, relevant Government Departments
• Monitor overall budget, including actual expenditure on a monthly basis and ensure high standards of financial management
• Facilitate the development of women’s Protection Policy through learning and research
• Facilitate legal issues for individual beneficiaries
