部屋リフォーム Room Renewal

Today is eve of Golden Week.
when i got waken up, just wanna go to labo but got stuck with room renewal. i thought to do this later but as the image of new lay out came to my head, i can't wait no more to change my room.
i do it all my own from changing bed and desk position to changing floor sheet to wood-type carpet.
hahah wood-type carpet. it is look good for summer. surely after i changed it, i really feel good with that woody color .

友達がカンボジア A friend to Cambodia

hhahaha. good news . tomorrow one of my friend leave for Cambodia tomorrow. Even it is short time but i think he will refresh and enjoy very much.

for me , i'll go in July. it is still long till July. but i have to wait.

AIJ投稿 Finishing Submit for AIJ

Before yesterday was the deadline for AIJ. in my labo, we have round 10 theme to present at AIJ in Hiroshima.

ELASTO-PLASTIC response OF REINFORCED CONCRETE COOLING TOWER UNDER severe earthquake motions

ABSTRACT

Although many researches have been conducted on RC cooling tower, the earthquake response and its effects have not jet been broadly discussed. On the other hand, construction of cooling towers has significantly increased in country of high seismicity. In such case, seismic analysis on RC cooling tower is absolutely necessary.

This study reports in detail the elasto-plastic nonlinear behavior of a reinforced concrete cooling tower, more than 150m tall, supported at a lower lintel by columns, under cyclic loads of earthquake motion. Based on Lattice Model as the constitutive equations for concrete, the analysis considers the effects of cracks and tension stiffening due to tension, and crash due to uni- and bi-axial compressions of concrete as well as yielding of reinforcement. The analysis is based on isoparametric shell elements modeling with 9-note Heterosis element for the shelled plane and fiber element for the circular stiffening rings at the top and lower cornices, columns and footing ring.

As the result of the analysis, the elasto-plastic behavior of cooling tower under static weight loading together with earthquake motion and the collapsing mechanism of such structure is made clear. By comparing the evaluated seismic capacity with the wind-resistant capacity from previous study, the suggestion for designing the cooling tower against severe earthquake motion has been drawn and the relative merits of the design against these two loads is discussed.

新学年スタート New Accademic Year

Today TUT starts it's new accademic year.
i still don't have class to take jet but some students in my lab get really busy day.
me, i'll have class only on tuesday. but no class is harder than having class cos have many thing to do with research n writing thesis or papers.

Now still preparing full abstract for AIJ in Hiroshima. the dead line is 20th of this month.

洗濯物が荒される laundry became mess

What a mess!
today when i return home for dinner , i stop by the laundry to see mine , but ohhh my GOD.
i saw mine were mess ed up from the clothes washer and left outside the laundry room.I should shout out what happen but not only mine, some others people clothes also messed up.
Who is the crazy man doing this???

it is the first time i've ever met.

地元が都会に Home Town Become City

What a surprise news!!!
i just heard from khmer that my home town will become part of Phnom Penh. It is unbelieveable.
The place is really close to center of PP but , it is not jet worth name city. It is too far to call city.
eventhogh it is crowded and became modern day to day, it still countryside.
i should miss my home town when it is officially changed it's name to from □□city△△prefecture to ○○ward Phnom Penh capital.

正月Khmer New Year

Khmer New Year 's day goes on lunar calendar. But quite different from chinese lunar New Year, Khmer New Year goes on 14th-16th of April. I have missed new year since 2001.
This year khmer student in Nagoya celebrate Khmer New year today in Nagoya University.
As usual, Khmer Nagoya celebrate on friday because foreigner and Nagoya university staff can join easily .
But for me, i don't prefer New Year on friday , because i can't join.Anyways, this year, even New Year on weekend, i still can't join cos i am too busy with writing papers.

整数の限界 Limit of 32Bits Machine

Today i encountered a great problem of 32bits machine.
It was the limit of integer number used in 32bits machine.

try to culculater this number:

175**5

maybe u can found small result compare to 175.0**5

actually 32bits machine supports only number (2**32)-1 for integer.

u should be careful :D

視力測定 eyesight

Today is the yearly health check's day. For M2 , we have only weight, height, eyesight,urine and X-ray.
My eyesight was 2.0 at National college of Technology (4 years ago), but it was weakened to 1.5 since last 2 years. But for great surprise, today it weakened to 0.9 for left and 1.2 for right when mesure with human. Actually, i felt not so good during the mesuring with human. So i decided to remesure with machine. As a result i got 1.2 for left and 1.5 for right.

i have to do some thing with my left :P :D

間違い電話 Wrong number

Today i just got a phone from an elder lady.
the nunber was not registered in my mobile.
then i supposed that the delivery man call me cos i have stuff to be delivered.
but when i say Moshimoshi ( =helo in japanese) , she ask me if i am Yoshino of Santory Com.
i told her that m not, then she comfirm the number.

the number was surely mine. but m not Yoshino.
i used this phone nearly 8 years, but it is a second time to get wrong number.
first time , i got voice message said that " she is not good so please give her an absent for he dance class ".
hhahahah , i don' know that dance class , so i just let's it be .

入学式 Entrance Ceremony

Today is the entrance ceremony of TUT.
This year we have 2 Cambodian students from National college of Technology tranfering to 3rd grade of this Uni. Both of them r in Architectural and Civil engineering.

ifortに注意 Becare with ifort

ifort is the fastest Fortran compiler i 've ever met. Compare to f77 of GNU Fortran compliler, ifort of Intel Fortran compiler give more than double speed in analysis.
But with consideration that, you need not to forget Zero clear in all your parameter or ifort will give ur wrong result .
